Football Program

About Our Program

HF United football is a youth tackle football program that serves girls and boys ages 6-14 (athletes age 14 must be in 8th grade during the season). We welcome any skill level as we aim to begin instruction with the basic fundamentals of football. All registered athletes may participate (no try-outs required).

We are members of the River Valley Youth Football League (RVYFL). There are four levels that are determined by an age and weight matrix:

Super Lightweight - Ages 6-8

Lightweight - Ages 8-10

Jr. Varsity - Ages 10-12

Varsity - Ages 12-14*

*Athletes must be age 6 prior to August 31st. Athletes age 14 must be in 8th grade during the season.

*Click the document below to download the age/weight matrix information.

Most teams who participate in the River Valley Youth Football League serve as feeder programs for high schools in the Southwest Suburban conference, same conference as Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Players from the RVYFL also go on to thrive in the Catholic League.
